Low calories can hide sodium
Chipotle's published fresh tomato salsa contributes 25 calories but 550 mg sodium per 4 oz portion; the same guide lists its tomatillo-green salsa at 15 calories and 260 mg per 2 fl oz. Those differences may affect a meal's sodium total without changing the calorie total very much.
At QDOBA, the November 2026 guide lists salsa verde at 5 calories and 240 mg sodium per 1 oz, and pico de gallo at 5 calories and 70 mg sodium per 1 oz. These are not equivalent serving sizes to Chipotle's, so treat these values as preparation-specific examples, not restaurant-wide rankings.
Use an explicit sodium budget
In the goal finder, choose a maximum sodium amount for one meal and see which combinations fit alongside your protein and calorie targets. The tool shows no results if there is no combination in its curated dataset. It does not adjust serving sizes invisibly to force a match.
Safety and uncertainty
Published sodium information may be rounded; individual preparation and actual serving size can differ. People on medically prescribed sodium restrictions should rely on guidance from their clinician and the restaurant's current disclosures, not this demonstration tool.
